Get Ready for Camp
Thank you for considering the Tampa Y summer camp for your child(ren). We are ready for campers and have tons activities planned for them to have fun, make friends and experience many adventures. Summer camp counselors and team will engage and encourage campers throughout the week!
Tampa YMCA summer camps earned the ACA-Accredited Camp status by providing safe, quality camp programming at all 12 locations that offer camp. The process to earn the accreditation included a thorough review of our operation by the American Camp Association (ACA), and complied with the highest standards in the industry. The ACA's nationally recognized standards program focuses primarily on the program quality, health and safety aspects of a camp's operation. This accreditation means the 12 Tampa YMCA camps are part of only 58 total ACA-Accredited day camps in Florida.

When there are reports of thunder and lightning in the area, campers will go indoors and participate in rainy day activities until the storm passes. Safety is a priority and we want everyone to have fun!
If thunderstorms occur during sign in/sign out, the process will remain the same, unless you are specifically directed otherwise. For the latest weather updates, call your YMCA for information. There are no refunds for days missed due to inclement weather.
The Tampa YMCA summer camp is for kids ages 6-12. Children must have one year of experience in a structured environment like school before they attend camp.

Auto Draft Payments
Summer Camp registration requires the set up of an automatic draft from a credit card, debit card, checking or savings account. It is the parent or guardian's responsibility to keep their account and payment information up to date.
All payments will be processed automatically on the Monday two weeks prior to each camp week, through the online YMCA account using the credit card/EFT set up during registration. Parents/Guardians can change the credit card/EFT information through their online account at any time. Parents/Guardians can make additional payments through the online account before the auto draft date. Should a payment be returned for any reason, the parent/guardian must log into their YMCA account and make a payment in full, debit or credit card only. If the parent/guardian does not bring the account up to date, the camper’s space will be reassigned and he/she will not be admitted to camp without full payment. Any fees previously paid, such as the down payment or partial payment for the week, are forfeited.
