For more than 135 years, the Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA has focused on strengthening the community, either by opening our doors to those in search of living healthier lives or through outreach activities that take us beyond our Y walls and into the surrounding community.

As a top-rated 4-star charity, the Tampa Y is a leader in providing innovative programs that nurture the potential of kids and teens, promote healthy living and giving back to our neighbors in need. From quality out-of-school programming and life-saving swim lessons to values-based youth sports and engaging healthy activities for the entire family, the Y’s programs and initiatives stay true to our mission to put Judeo-Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.

The Y believes in identifying community needs – and then working toward solutions that create meaningful, lasting change.
