YMCA Program for Home Education Students
The YMCA Homeschool Program is designed to provide home education students with opportunities to stay active, build friendships and develop healthy lifestyles through structured physical education and enrichment activities. Children ages 6–12 participate in engaging experiences that promote physical fitness, teamwork, social development and overall well-being in a fun and supportive YMCA environment.

Program Schedule
The YMCA Homeschool Program follows a semester-based schedule aligned with the Hillsborough County School District calendar.
- Fall Semester: August 10 – December 18
- Spring Semester: January 4 – May 14
Students participate in two 1.5-hour sessions per week, excluding holiday breaks.
What to Expect
Each session is designed to complement your child's home education experience while encouraging social interaction, physical activity and personal growth.

The Tampa YMCA is now proud to accept Step Up for Students funds for eligible families, making participation in our Homeschool Program more accessible than ever.

The Homeschool Program is currently offered at select Tampa YMCA Family Centers:

Program Fees
- YMCA Member Rate: $250 per semester
- Non-Member Rate: $320 per semester
