A Night of Fun, Food and Fundraising!

We are excited to share that our inaugural New Tampa YMCA Beads and Bets - Mardi Gras Casino Night was a resounding success. On February 22, 2025, roughly 125 individuals gathered for an evening of food, fun and fundraising in support of the YMCA.

The event featured an incredible mix of activities along with delicious hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar and an electrifying atmosphere. Guests had the chance to try their luck at games of chance, bid on exclusive items during the silent auction and win exciting prizes through our raffles. 

Ryan Pratt, District Executive Director for the Tampa YMCA shares, “We are thrilled to announce that nearly $13,000 was raised at our inaugural event. With over 15 sponsors and numerous silent auction and raffle donations, this event not only provided vital support for our programs but also brought our donors, supporters and members together in a fun and meaningful way outside our Y walls.”

He adds, “The generosity and enthusiasm brought to the event ensures that everyone in our community has access to the life-changing programs and services the Y provides, regardless of financial barriers. We look forward to seeing you again next year!” 

The funds from Beads and Bets will go directly toward strengthening the individuals and families at our New Tampa YMCA – part of our Open Doors program. Open Doors is a financial assistance program that provides discounted membership and program rates for summer camp, swim lessons and other Y programs.
