Goody Goody™ Turkey Gobble 5K, 8K and 1-Mile Run/Walk, you get to exercise while helping cancer survivors at the same time. What better way to say thank you on Thanksgiving?
The 8K, 5K or one mile walk/run in downtown Tampa welcomes all ability levels next Thursday, November 22 at 7am in front of the Amalie Arena on 401 Channelside Drive in Tampa. As title sponsor, the award-winning
Goody Goody™ restaurant is graciously providing free breakfast to all participants after the race.
All proceeds raised from the event will support
LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA for cancer survivors and their families. The free 12-week Y program offers people affected by cancer a safe, supportive environment to participate in physical and social activities focused on strengthening the whole person.
Ali Bush and his wife, Joy, are one of the families benefiting from Livestrong at the Campo Family YMCA. “I think it’s wonderful. I needed this,” says Ali. “I couldn’t have done it on my own. You get tired with the chemo. With the Livestrong, I have a coach and two colleagues and they give me tips and encourage me.” Next week, the couple is participating in the one-mile event along with their son and 8-year-old-grandson.
This year, the last day to register is Nov. 20. Registration and packet pick-up
will not be available on race day. So, don’t wait until the last minute. Register today at
