As Miss Juneteenth, Tatiana “Tati” Bell will serve as a cultural ambassador for her community and represent the state of Florida in the National Miss Juneteenth pageant this fall!

The Y would like to congratulate Tatiana “Tati” Bell, who on June 18, 2021, was crowned by the Tampa Bay Juneteenth Coalition, Miss Juneteenth Tampa Bay 2021.

Queen Tatiana is on a mission to elevate the people and the world around her via her platform of teen entrepreneurship and financial literacy. As Miss Juneteenth, she will serve as a cultural ambassador for her community and represent the state of Florida in the National Miss Juneteenth Pageant this fall.

Tatiana, a lifelong member of the Bob Gilbertson Central City YMCA, is thrilled to work as a camp counselor at the YMCA this summer because every day is different and she enjoys the campers and her co-workers. Tatiana is also an entrepreneur and owner of Young Queen Beauty, whose mission is to elevate the self-esteem of females of any age in order to redefine beauty and empower them through collaboration and connection to community.

According to her bio, Tatiana started selling lip gloss out of her backpack at age 14. With an unyielding vision to change the social perception of beauty, she launched her first online boutique to shift how young women view their personal self-esteem. While helping other young entrepreneurs along the way, Queen Tatiana is on a mission to elevate the people and world around her.

She is fully committed to uplifting the legacy of Juneteenth. "Her platform is empowering the community through youth entrepreneurship and financial literacy,” says her mother, Kiana Romero.

Juneteenth, a combination of June and 19th is also called Freedom Day or Emancipation Day, and it is the oldest known celebration commemorating the end of slavery in the United States.

The Y celebrates with you, Tatiana—what an amazing accomplishment!
