The Tampa YMCA knows we are stronger when we work together with community partners.

During this coronavirus crisis, the YMCA has partnered with several organizations, like the Hillsborough Education Foundation in coordination with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, to deliver much needed school supplies to the Hillsborough and Pasco Ys providing youth relief care to essential workers.  The Tampa YMCA has accepted boxes of school supplies stocked with colored pencils, crayons, glue, construction paper, craft sets and more.

“We are grateful for our continued partnership with the Tampa YMCA and the opportunity to support our students and community heroes,” says Hillsborough Education Foundation CEO Kim Jowell. “Our mission is to strengthen public education in Hillsborough County. We are doing so, during this unprecedented time in education, by providing students with the supplies, technology and online access they need for continued academic success. We are proud to partner with the Y for this innovative programming that supports the children of first responders — who are working so hard to keep our community safe and healthy. We are all in this together.”

Many thanks to our friends at HEF and HCSO! Our staff are using the donated supplies during youth relief care at 11 family centers. If you, or someone you know, is an essential worker and in need of relief care, please register for youth relief care.
