Camp is officially in session, and our New Tampa Family YMCA kicked off its first week with a special visit from Congresswoman Laurel Lee. Campers gathered in the lobby to greet the Congresswoman with a special welcome sign they made in art camp!

As a dedicated and active supporter of the YMCA, Congresswoman Lee took time to visit with campers, tour our Y and discuss the future plans for a new YMCA in Wesley Chapel. Her steadfast advocacy for the YMCA is evident as she recognizes our pivotal role in fostering community wellness and support.

During her visit, Congresswoman Lee highlighted the vital resources and connections a YMCA brings to a community and shared her vision for our expansion with local leaders. Her belief in our YMCAs' potential to transform into another wellness hub for the individuals residing in Wesley Chapel fills us with hope and excitement for the future!

Ryan Pratt, District Executive Director at our New Tampa YMCA, shares, "Congresswoman Lee's commitment to the YMCA is evident in her initiatives as she works to promote health, wellness and social cohesion."

He adds, "It was a pleasure to have the Congresswoman see firsthand the transformation work we do for campers and members through the summer and beyond."
