With the New Year comes a revitalized focus on the Tampa Y’s youngest members! The Tampa Y is transforming its Kid Zones into Stay & Play centers. With the new name comes a new and enhanced curriculum to allow kids to thrive while their parents work on bettering their own health.In the Y’s Stay & Play areas, you’ll see children engaged with trivia questions, crafts and educational centers featuring block building, quiet reading, puzzles, science and dramatic play. “Parents love everything we are doing – from picking up their craft and looking to see if their child answered the Question of the Day,” shares Plant City Y Family Activities Coordinator Elizabeth Patton. “My team bagged up all the old toys to discard and the kids have not even noticed because they are so engaged in everything else.”We invite you to come check out the innovative, center-based learning environmentswithin our family Ys.
