The holiday season at the YMCA is a time for joy, community and fun, and this year is no exception! Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or embrace the season’s joy in other ways, our staff are excited to celebrate with you.
Our Tampa YMCA Association Office decorated a beautiful live tree and joined many of our centers in hosting Angel Trees. Throughout the month of December, YMCA staff have the opportunity to pick an angel from the tree and purchase a Christmas present for them.
The angels are children whose parents often need additional assistance purchasing Christmas gifts. As the cost of living continues to rise, we know many parents struggle to meet every day needs, and we are happy to help make Christmas special, ensuring every child experiences holiday cheer.
To further spread holiday joy, our YMCAs offer exciting opportunities to see Santa! Whether you are having brunch with him or decorating cookies, our littlest community members have the chance to spend some quality time with the big guy! The holidays are a great opportunity for families to come together, celebrate the season and build connections within the YMCA community.
The holiday spirit also extends to our staff, who gathered for a festive “All Staff” celebration filled with laughter, appreciation and holiday cheer. From secret gift exchanges to festive games, the celebration was a perfect way to thank our dedicated team for their hard work and passion throughout the year.
As we embrace this joyful season, the YMCA is grateful for the opportunity to share these special moments with our community. Whether it’s through supporting families in need, creating magical memories with Santa or celebrating together as a staff, we are proud to be a place where connections are made and holiday cheer is spread.
From our YMCA family to yours, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a peaceful holiday season and look forward to continuing to serve and celebrate with you in the year ahead!
