New Fall Prevention Class at the Y
Learn how to protect yourself and live a full and active life, free from the fear of falling. Healthy Steps for Older Adults is an evidence-based fall risk screening and education class for adults ages 65 and older.
The program consists of two, 2-hour workshops focused on fall prevention, covering topics such as proper footwear, safety at home, good nutrition for bone health and the importance of exercise.
Participants will also learn at-home exercises to improve strength and balance and receive information about other local fall prevention programs.
