Youth Basketball and Soccer (ages 5 - 17)

Season: September 15 - November 3

Registration Ends August 29th

Competitie Basketball (3rd - 11th grade)

Tryouts (must to attend one)

Sunday, August 17th or Sunday, August 24th

3rd/4th grade - 1:30pm

5th/6th grade - 2:30pm

7th/8th grade - 3:30pm

9-11th grade - 4:30pm

Girls on the Run

Girls on the Run is a life-changing, program for girls in the 3rd-5th grades. The mission is to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.

Days/Times: 12 week session, 4-5:15pm Mondays and Wednesdays, Sept. 15-Dec. 3, ending with a celebratory Girls on the Run 5K event Dec. 13.

Cost: $150 (Cost includes Girls on the Run T-shirt, water bottle, program supplies, curriculum, healthy snacks, end of season celebration and registration fee for the end of season 5K).

Location: Teen Center.

The Art Spot (Ages 7 - 17)

Art and diversity come alive at The Art Spot, Prodigy Cultural Arts’ visual arts and crafts series. Using various media, students will create several art pieces throughout the course, while exploring ideals to help them grow socially. Families will celebrate each child’s accomplished work during a final exhibit.

Days/Times: 4:30-6pm Tuesdays and Thursdays, Sept. 9-Oct. 30

Location: Teen Center

Cost: FREE

 

Land and Sea (Ages 3-5)

Come bounce around in the gymnastics area and then splash around in the pool. Children will learn basic tumbling, rolling and jumping, focusing on gross motor skills and coordination. In the water, children will have fun and play water games. Please have children wear their swimsuits under their clothing for a quick transition.

Day/Time: 3-4 pm Tuesdays (half hour in gym, half hour in swim)

Cost: $45 Facility Member/$90 Program Member

Poolside Sunrise Yoga: Greet the sun and welcome your day in a beautiful setting! Our morning Yoga will prepare your mind and body to face your day. See September GX Schedule for details.

 

Women Only Recreational Pick-up Basketball

Days/Times: 8:30-10pm Wednesdays; 3-5pm Sundays

Ages: 5-12

Time: 6pm-9pm (Drop off 5:30pm - 6:00pm)
Registration Ends: Fri. before program begins
Cost: $10 per child/$20 per family of 3 or more, Facility Members Only

The First Tee of Tampa Bay


The First Tee of Tampa Bay, a program branch of the Tampa YMCA, is offering a variety of golf and life skills programs for children ages 5-18 at Heritage Isles Golf & Country Club. Beginner, intermediate and advanced players are all welcome. Partial Program Scholarships are available for families earning less than $55,000/year or for those enrolling multiple children. Participants do NOT need their own golf clubs (The First Tee will provide), but children are welcome to bring them if they have them. Programs include Group Golf Lessons, Golf Teams and Summer Golf Camps, although not all are available at every location.
